In Carrefour (Crossroads) Makarand Sathe explores the whole gamut of tensions, insanity, claustrophobia, futile rage and solitude – the staple ingredients of every-day life in teeming Indian cities -, using a contemporary, epic, theatrical language that is rooted in tradition.
